AI disclosure
Every number DealFinder shows you about what an item is worth is produced by software, not by a person. This page explains what that means so you can weigh it properly.
What is AI-generated
Estimated resale value
Inferred from prices of comparable items that have sold or are listed elsewhere.
Estimated days to sell
A model’s guess at how long resale typically takes for this kind of item.
Estimated profit and deal score
Arithmetic on the two estimates above, so they inherit all of their uncertainty.
Expected final price on auctions
A projection of where bidding may land, not a prediction we stand behind.
Brand, model and condition
Extracted from the listing’s own text by a language model, which sometimes misreads it.
What this is not
These figures are not appraisals, valuations, investment advice, or any guarantee of resale price or speed. Two listings with the same score can turn out very differently. Items are frequently damaged, incomplete, or described inaccurately by the seller in ways no model can detect from a listing page.
How confident the estimate is
Each deal shows a confidence level and the number of comparable items the estimate is based on. A “low” confidence estimate built on one or two comparables should be treated as little more than a hint. Always inspect the original listing yourself before committing money.
Human oversight
No automated decision is made about you. DealFinder scores listings, not people, and every purchasing decision is yours alone, made in your own account on the original marketplace.
Mistakes
If an estimate looks wrong, it may well be. Tell us at [email protected] and we will look at that listing.
